Love Ties Chapter 1 |
Prologue Sage was never a big love person. He had never bothered himself with, he dare say, FEELINGS. So how had he, Mr. I have no emotions, end up with a love life crisis? So bad that it had him sitting on a toilet, seat down, knees pulled to his chest and head resting on his knees, tears staining his cheeks? He still wasn’t really sure of that himself. It had been a chilly autumn day when he had been captured and he had forgotten his jacket, as usual. He had been taking a casual walk through the forest, to clear his thoughts, and let him focus solely on his lover. Rowen, his lover. His blue haired lover. His very attractive blue haired lover. He had laughed to himself that day, not realizing what was about to happen that ultimately changed the course of his very being, entering into his love life and tearing what he had taken so long to build with Rowen. The day that he was both captured, beat, and then ultimately, raped.
Chapter 1 When Love Comes a Calling, Who is it Singing For?
"Oww!" Sage exclaimed, wondering how he, the one that no one could here while walking, that had never once in his life done something less then graceful, had tripped and landed face first on the moist forest soil. With a slight curse at his perfect record being broken, he rose back to his feet. Until he heard a rustling in a nearby bush. With quick reflexes, he jerked his head to the side and came face to face with the warlord of Poison. "Sekhmet!" He exclaimed, immediately calling on his sub-armor. What he didn’t expect though, was not to be hit by his opponent, but instead to be hit roughly across the head from behind, by an un-known attacker. The moment the metal made contact with his head, he fell to the ground, out cold. And when he woke up, it was not to what he expected. ***~~~***~~~*** Groggily and tired, Sage’s pale eyes opened as a soft moan escaped his lips. "Oh look, Halo’s awake." Sage’s head jerked up at the sound of the familiar voice. One that he did not enjoy hearing when he had a major migraine. "Why am I here?" Sage demanded, trying to ignore his still pounding head. Sudden laughter emitted from the other person in the room, and he recognized the person immediately. "Dais..." He growled. He tried to rise, but soon realized that not only was he tied down, he was stark naked. "What the hell?" He demanded, doing his best to shift his body to cover himself, if even slightly. "I thought you were better then that Halo. We didn’t think that such a simple trick would catch you. What was on your mind to make your reflexes so sluggish?" Sage muttered incoherently under his breath, but after four hundred years of listening to Cale mumble, Dais was easy to distinguish exactly what the blonde was saying. "Strata?" Dais snorted at the pure irony that Sage was thinking about, as they all knew, his lover, the moment he had been captured. And little did Sage know what they planned for him. Well, he did have to have some idea, meaning that he was naked and chained down, but apparently Halo was much more innocent then first glance permitted you to see. "Why am I here?" He asked again, fire in his voice that was filled with annoyance as well. Dais merely shook his head. "Halo, is the answer so unobvious that you must ask?" "I was asking for reassurance that this is not real. If you were to answer, then I would know it was not. Because you, my little one-eyed friend, would never tell me. But now I see that this is real, and what’s happening is truth." Dais laughed. Halo was rather witty at times. "I see that Strata is rubbing off on you. You have gained his annoying ability to reply to anything with snide, yet intelligent remarks." "Who’s to say that I was always like this, and he learned it from me?" Sage pointed out. "Well Halo, I must admit that you are rather amusing. I can see why Cale takes a shinning to you, other then the obvious that you are his opposition." Sage shrugged. "He may have taken a shinning to me, but none of you Warlords amuse me in the slightest." Sage said with defiance, as Dais smiled. "Well, You all amuse me. Every one of you. Wildfire with his ability to constantly crack corny jokes, Hardrock and his lack of being able to tell where I am. In fact, if it weren’t for you figuring it out, we would have captured you all and terminated Strata then. Well, continuing, Torrent and his ridiculous ability to make everything appear good when obviously it is not, Strata’s witty comments, of course." "And me? How do I amuse you oh mighty one-eyed one?" Sage asked with a roll of his eyes. "Like Cale, you simply amuse me. You have beauty, yet you never do anything about it, you hate the world, yet you love its creation, you act so brave, yet you are actually terrified of us." "I am not scared of you!" Sage demanded, anger seeping through his voice. "Then prove it." Dais stated as he advanced on the imprisoned boy. Sage struggled to maneuver himself into a position that was far away from the other man, but his resistance was futile. Rough hands caressed his thigh as he winced, not in pain, but in fear, though he hated to admit it. "You flinched. In fear. I told you." Sage glared at the other man. "I am not afraid! I was just, surprised!" Dais smiled, letting his arm snake higher up on Sage, finally reaching it’s destination and causing the blonde to gasp in surprise. "See? Scared." "I am not scared!" Sage growled, shaking Dais’s hand off of him. "I just do not appreciate you touching me where no one but Rowen has ever been allowed to go!" Dais smiled. "So you’re not a virgin?" Sage sighed. "No, I am not." "Have you ever been on the receiving end then, because Strata doesn’t seem to be the dominating one." "If you must know, then no. I have never been taken because though I hate to admit it, you were right, Rowen is submissive." Dais smiled. "Well, that makes things all the more interesting." "Shut up Dais..." He sat silently for a moment. "What do you mean by "that makes things all the more interesting."?" Dais stifled his laughter. "Ahh, the innocence of the young." Sage shrugged. "I am not that young!" "I am four-hundred. I reserve the right to call you young." "But that still doesn’t mean I’m..." A hand covering his mouth cut off Sage’s words. Struggling to turn, he faced the newest entrant to the room. He jerked his head away and glared at the new occupant of the room. "Sekhmet! What do you want? Isn’t Dais’s bothersome voice enough annoyance?" Sekhmet laughed. "I see that I am not appreciated." "Well duh!" Sage exclaimed. "Well, Halo, you seemed to have developed an attitude. I see that Strata is rubbing off on you." Sage sighed. "Why does everyone think that Rowen is rubbing off on me? Who’s to say that when we are alone, I’m not the odd one!" Both people in the room laughed. Sage huffed in annoyance, mad at the fact that he couldn’t cross his arms across his chest like how normally did when he was peeved. "Because much to your denseness, you haven’t realized that there have been many a days that we have seen you and Strata together." Sage looked on in horror and shock. "You SPY on us!" Dais and Sekhmet shrugged. "Well, we are bored, and you two are rather amusing. Cale never joins us though. Kayura does, but he doesn’t." Sage shuddered at the idea of Kayura watching his Rowen. Or himself for that matter! "That is... disgusting!" Sage exclaimed, shivering in unhappiness that the Kayura that flirted non-stop with his Rowen had seen his lover in the nude. Hell, the woman flirted with everyone! Not only Rowen, she had had her moments of harassing Sage as well! "No, it is not disgusting. It is called hormones, my dear." "Don’t call me dear." Dais ignored the blonde. "Everyone has them. And obviously you do. You and Strata fuck like rabbits." Sage’s face flushed. "I can’t believe that you watch us... watch us... watch us make love!" Sage shook his head in revulsion. "Well, I must say, it is quite amusing!" Sekhmet chimed in as Sage groaned. "Just shut the hell up." He said flatly. "You’re just so pretty when you’re mad." Dais teased, reaching over to Sage and caressing the pale flesh of the boy’s cheek. He barely managed to pull his hand away from Sage’s rather angry teeth. "Don’t. Touch. Me." He stated bluntly, but the warlord chose to ignore his warnings. Sage felt calloused hand’s run down his chest, and then run back up, nails bared and digging into his flesh. "Stop it you bastard!" Sekhmet smiled and with a nod of approval from Dais, sat on the other side of the blonde. "You do seem to talk a lot under pressure." Sekhmet stated calmly, as he pulled a small vial full of some concoction of poisons and pressed it to the boy’s arm. Sage struggled to get away, but Dais held him down firmly. Sage winced as the cold metal slid into his skin, releasing the toxins into his system. "What does that do?" Sage’s eyes widened as his voice cracked. Sekhmet simply smiled. "Good bye voice." He stated with a patent grin, as Sage struggled to speak, but nothing came out of his parted lips. "Why, Sekhmet my friend, don’t you agree this is much better? No more bitching from Blondie." Sekhmet smiled slightly, his lips curving into a smile that Sage could only describe as sinister. "Well, I do believe that we have stalled long enough. I don’t see why the show cannot begin." Dais shrugged. "I do believe that you are correct, my friend." Immediately, they pounced. Sage had never felt so ill in his life. He tried to yell at them, tell them to stop, tell them that he was Rowen’s only, and basically to prevent them from touching him anymore then they already were. But obviously, his thoughts and feelings could not be expressed through words, as wet lips met his and a slippery tongue ran across his lips, then dived deep within his mouth. Sage wanted to gag, the thought that someone was touching what was only for Rowen, trying to do things that he only allowed the archer to do. He yanked his head away, slamming it against the stone wall of the cell, and causing him to wince in pain. The wet tongue slid down to his nipple, swirling around the stub. Though Sage hated to admit it, there was a tiny flash of pleasure from the reptilians touch. He tried to pull away though, but with two men on him, he knew that struggling would get him nowhere. But for some unknown reason, he continued to try to get away. It gave him a comfort, he supposed, that at least he could say he tried. That it wasn’t his control. His mind flashed from his thoughts as something pressed against his entrance. He gasped and tried to buck away, but the restraints were too perfectly planned out. He shook his head in desperation, trying to get the Warlord of Illusion to not touch him there, but all he received was a fake smile. No wait, it was genuine. Genuinely evil and filled with wants of torture and forbid the thought, pain and blood. And suffering. Suffering to bestow on his enemy. The blonde. The beautiful illusive blonde that caused anyone’s hormone’s to rage and was not aware of his ability to make anyone, man or woman, turn his way as he entered. The urge to take him rose. Sage shook his head. Not unprepared. No. He knew well enough that without the person on the receiving end being totally and utterly prepared, someone was going to get hurt. And at that moment, he was well aware that it would be himself in this case. And then, because of the pain coursing through his own body, he knew exactly what the pain he was predicting felt like. Pain. Everywhere. All he felt was the pain filling him, eating him whole. And then he blacked out. ***~~~***~~~*** Cale trudged through the castle. After peering in on their "Guest" While being violated, he had decided against eating anything for a while. It was his opposite, his enemy, so why did he feel what they were doing was so utterly wrong? That they shouldn’t dare do that to such a beautiful creature. And if they couldn’t refrain, then at least prepare the poor thing so it wouldn’t hurt as badly. It was then that he ran strait into a small, petit woman. "Kayura." He stated blatantly, as Kayura smiled smugly. "Why Cale, dear, you don’t seem to be happy that we have Halo in our grasps! And he is your opposite after all!" Cale shrugged as he tried to move past her, but her small frame blocked him from going anywhere. "What is it Cale? You seem to not enjoy the idea of toying with the mind of your other, to beat him into submission and hold him against his will, as yours. Why is that?" Cale rolled his eyes and again tried to make it past the woman. "Aww, is little Cale to shy to admit that he wants to screw the blonde?" "It’s not that." Cale stated coldly. "Then what is it? Hmm?" Cale sighed. "I don’t need to tell you." He tried to move past her once more, but again she shielded him from leaving. "No way am I letting you go! This is getting way to interesting. S, why is it that you aren’t screwing Halo right now when it is obvious that you want him. I mean, it’s not like you haven’t flirted with him a bazillion times before. Only an idiot couldn’t figure out that you have the hots for him." She paused for a moment. "Which may explain why Dais and Sekhmet haven’t caught on yet. Well, anyways, so what is that makes him so special." "I don’t know. Everything about him is so alluring, and...." Cale froze. "Why the hell am I telling you of all people this." Kayura shrugged. "Because you have to get it out and I asked." Cale rolled his eyes. "Good bye." He stated as he vanished from sight. Kayura sighed. "So close..." She muttered as she smiled. "Oh well, that may be depressing that I didn’t find out in all, but look on the bright side. I have an extremely good screw in the next room." With a grin, she walked into Sage’s cell. ***~~~***~~~*** Rowen sighed as he paced back and forth in his room. One in the morning. Sage had never, in all the years Rowen had known him, come home after midnight. So where was his lover right now? Finally, scared and annoyed, he decided to go ask the others and see if they had seen the blonde recently. "Cye? Kento?" He asked as he tapped lightly on their door. In moments, the auburn boy, his hair tousled and in a pair of whale pajamas, opened the door. "Rowen, love, what is it?" He asked, yawning sleepily. "Cye, Sage still isn’t home. Have you seen him? I am getting totally freaked out. He’s never out this late." Cye’s eyes widened. "Sage still isn’t home? But its..." He glanced at his clock and gasped. "Rowen, it’s one in the morning!" Rowen nodded. "I know. And you know that Sage is never out this late." Cye nodded rapidly. "Ok, Rowen, I want you to go tell Ryo what’s going on. And then I want you to get some sleep. Maybe he got sidetracked, or something. Just, go to sleep. I’m sure he’ll be here in the morning, and you’ll have nothing to worry about." Rowen nodded slightly. "I’ll tell Kento. You just talk to Ryo, ok?" Rowen nodded. "Thanks Cye." Cye nodded. "Anytime." ***~~~***~~~*** Sage was crying. Cale could hear him. Their rooms were next to each other, and though the wall was made of sturdy stone, Cale’s super senses allowed him to hear more then he should, and that consisted of the silent sobs of the other warrior. Finally, after sitting in his bed for an hour listening to the mourning boy and not being able to get rest himself, he decided to visit the other swordsman, if only to shut him up. Slipping out of his bed and allowing the sheets to fall off of his body, he stealthily made his way to the other room, using his key to open the bolted holding place of the other boy. "Halo?" He asked softly, noticing the glowing figure in the corner. Tired and torn, the boy was still the most beautiful thing Cale had ever laid eyes on. Sage’s crying increased as Cale made his way over, and the moment he set his hand on the pale shoulder, the body froze in fear. "Calm down boy, I’m not going to hurt you." He felt the body tremble beneath him, and he cursed himself for his rough tone of voice. In another attempt, he sat next to Sage, and pulled the boy to him, holding the angelic body in his arms. Sage simply shivered, as if waiting for Cale to strike as the others had. "Do you really think that I will harm you?" Cale asked as Sage let out a bitter laugh. Obviously, he had regained his voice, but refrained from using it until that moment. "You are my complete opposite. You hate me. I was actually anticipating your arrival. I thought you would get the honors of... breaking me. You are my counterpart after all." Cale pulled back, a look of shock on his face. "Where did you get the idea that I hate you?" "Everything you do! You are my enemy! I bring peace to the best of my ability, but you only bring pain and destruction." "Is that what you truly think of me?" "DO you expect any less from a sworn enemy? Now do it. I know what you are here for, and you might as well take it while I’m still out of it, OK?" Cale shook his head. "I told you that I would not harm you. I will keep a promise." Cale tightened his grip on Sage, who nervously submitted. Cale smiled. After a while of sitting in silence, Sage let down his guard, if only slightly, and allowed his head to rest snuggly on Cale’s chest. Cale ran his fingers through the golden tresses that he had come to love through each and every tiring battle. Sage was still completely nude, but Cale didn’t let it faze him. "Sage, let me do something for you." Sage looked up, eyes widened in fear. "I thought you said that you wouldn’t do that to me! Well, I should have been smarter then to trust a warlord." Cale shook his head rapidly, trying to shake the ideas out of Sage’s head. "I don’t want to hurt you! And surely that would. I want to heal you. You are not the only one who possesses the ability to heal. Though I must say, my healing is not as pleasant, but it gets the job done." Sage nodded timorously as Cale set his had on the chest of the blonde. He resisted the urge to run his fingers over the muscled and well-built flesh below him, as he began to heal Sage. "I cannot heal you completely, because then they will notice. But I shall fix anything internally." Sage nodded as a rush of cold and forbidding feeling rushed through him. He quivered slightly, his body rigid and cold. So very, very cold. Light knew darkness. Light did not like Darkness, even if the intentions were good. And that is why the bearer of light fainted as the healing powers rushed through him. Cale caught the falling figure, keeping it from slumping into the ground. With sadness that his powers couldn’t truly help the other boy, Cale decided to give the boy proper resting quarters. He hoisted the boy into his arms, and carried the youth out of the cell and into his own room. The moment he walked out of the door though, he came eye to eye with Kayura, who simply smiled in knowing, and disappeared from sight. Well aware that this was going to catch around the place like wildfire, he sighed, and laid the boy on his bed. On a second thought, though he knew he shouldn’t, for the boy’s heart was simply not his, he brought his lips to the boy’s forehead. "Rowen..." Sage mumbled as Cale sighed. Yes. Strata. The true love of the angel that he was never meant to be with. The angel of desire.
To be continued...
